Filtering honey as it leaves the extractor or pours into the ripener is not optional: without a filter, cappings, wax bits, melted propolis, the odd bee antenna and whatever the frame releases during spinning all end up in the tank. This Ø 400 mm stainless steel filter is the dedicated fit for LYSON ripeners of 30, 50 and 70 litres (40-100 kg honey capacity): it rests directly on the ripener's rim, takes the full flow from extractor or pump, and lets only the honey through.

🔧 Stainless mesh — no give, no warp

The body is food-grade stainless steel, with a perimeter rim that sits firmly on the ripener edge and does not rock even when a pump pours a full stream into it. It cleans with warm water, copes with honey's organic acids and residual propolis without corrosion, and stores well between seasons if you dry it before putting it away.

📐 Ø 400 mm — fits the common LYSON models

The size is designed for LYSON ripeners of 30, 50 and 70 litres (roughly 40 to 100 kg honey capacity), which share the same Ø 400 mm opening. If your ripener is LYSON and falls in that range, the filter drops in without adapters or supports. For larger capacities or ripeners from other brands, always measure the inner diameter of the rim before ordering.

💡 First-pass filtering — simple but necessary

This is a single-mesh filter, not a double mesh. It catches the coarse impurities —cappings, wax bits, bees, large particles— on the first pass. For cleaner honey aimed at commercial jarring, the next step is a fine filter (nylon bag or finer-mesh sieve) or simply letting the honey rest in the ripener for 24-48 h so foam and micro-impurities rise on their own.
