Details of Stainless steel trolley for tanks or creaming machines

Stainless steel wheeled stand for settling tanks, clarifiers and creamers. Fixed height of 455 mm, four swivel castors with rubber tread and brakes, and raised top corners that centre the vessel. Four sizes, from Ø400 to Ø700 mm.

The 455 millimetres are the whole argument. They are the difference between putting a bucket under the tap and working on your knees.

01 · CHOOSE IT BY DIAMETER

Of the vessel, not by its litres

The four sizes go by the diameter of the vessel: W6604 for Ø400, W6605 for Ø500, W6606 for Ø600 and W6607 for Ø700. Height is 455 mm on all of them.

Measure the outside diameter of your settling tank, not its capacity in litres: two tanks of the same litres can have different diameters depending on whether they are tall or wide.

02 · WHAT THE HEIGHT SOLVES

The tap, your back and the floor

A settling tank sitting on the floor leaves the tap at ankle height: no bucket fits underneath and filling jars is impossible. Raising it 455 mm puts the outlet at a real working position.

And there is a second advantage you notice on cleaning day: the open frame lets you hose the floor underneath without lifting the vessel by hand.

03 · MOVING IT FULL IS ANOTHER MATTER

Brakes are for working, not for rolling

With the four brakes locked the assembly is held fast and you can work safely even with the vessel full. That is what the brakes do.

Moving it full is a different thing. A Ø600 tank full of honey comes to around 200 kg, and the liquid shifts inside as you start and stop, which unsettles the whole thing. The workshop rule is to move it empty or nearly so, and over a smooth floor.

04 · WHY STAINLESS

It lives in damp and gets washed often

A honey-house stand gets wet every day: honey drips, wash water, steam. Food-grade stainless steel takes that without pitting and leaves no rust near the product.

The castors have a rubber tread, which rolls quietly and grips a damp floor better than a hard wheel.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Measure the outside diameter of the vessel and check that 455 mm leaves room for whatever bucket you use.
