HANNA
HANNA Instruments offers equipment for measuring honey concentration, conductivity and colour. These are complementary checks, with each instrument answering a different question. Combining them in a case does not make a complete test of authenticity or floral origin.

Brix and moisture: identify what the display shows
The HI96801 refractometer reads degrees Brix on a sucrose-based scale. It does not directly display the water percentage of honey. If water content is required, use the honey-conversion method appropriate to the instrument; subtracting Brix from 100 does not replace that procedure.
Conductivity and colour require different measurements
The HI98303 DiST 3 measures electrical conductivity. Honey analysis requires a solution prepared according to the test method; simply placing the sensor in a jar and comparing the reading with a table is not the procedure.
The HI96785 photometer expresses colour in millimetres Pfund. It allows instrumental comparison between batches, but a particular colour does not by itself establish monofloral origin. Clean cuvettes and sample preparation are part of the measurement.
The case brings the three checks together
The beekeeping instrument case combines HI96801, HI98303 and HI96785. It suits recording all three parameters for each batch; individual instruments are also available if only one is needed. Keep sample identification and the method used: an isolated number without its measurement procedure is difficult to compare.
