Pack of 6 Tauro Drysilk Micro non-stick meshes, 228 × 346 mm, to lay on dryer trays. Food-contact plastic, free of BPA and phthalates, rated from 0 to 100 °C and washable in the dishwasher’s top rack. In the six-tray Biosec B6, the pack provides one mesh per tray.
The mesh adds a supporting surface where tray openings let pollen through. Before loading a full batch, use a small sample to check that it retains your harvest’s pellets: pollen pellet size is not uniform.
01 · WHAT IT SOLVES
A fine-mesh floor on the usual tray
Lay it on a supporting tray and keep air inlets and outlets clear. Six meshes cover the Biosec B6’s six trays: none is left as a spare. For another dryer, measure the usable area and check support before buying. A rectangular tray alone does not guarantee a fit.
02 · HOW POLLEN IS DRIED
Thin layer, warm air and no hurry
Spread pollen thinly, without piles, to about 2 cm at most. The mesh’s 100 °C rating is not a recommended pollen drying temperature: Bogdanov recommends a maximum of 30 °C to preserve sensitive constituents; drying around 40 °C involves greater losses. Check final moisture, using 6% as a process reference, and allow cooling in clean, dry surroundings before packing. The mesh assists handling, but guarantees neither drying nor storage stability.
03 · THE MATERIAL
Food-grade plastic, 0-100 °C, dishwasher
Food-contact plastic, free of BPA and phthalates, measuring 228 × 346 mm. Rated from 0 to 100 °C and washable in the dishwasher’s top rack. Wash before first use and let dry before adding pollen. Do not use in an oven or as a liquid-tight liner for liquids or purées.
