Non-stick micro mesh for drying bee pollen in any tray dehydrator. Aperture sized to hold pollen granules without blocking airflow. Fits all Biosec models and most rectangular-tray dryers (228 × 346 mm). Food-certified plastic, BPA-free, dishwasher-safe. Pack of 6. Stackable to double drying capacity.
Turn any tray dehydrator into a proper pollen dryer — micro mesh that holds every grain where it should be.
Most food dehydrators — including many sold specifically for beekeeping use — come with trays whose mesh is far too coarse for bee pollen. The result is straightforward: a portion of the crop falls through, more sticks to the tray edges, and your drying yield takes a hit before you even start grading. The Drysilk Micro mesh has a specifically reduced aperture to retain individual pollen granules, is non-stick, and simply lays over your existing tray — no modifications, no faff. Compatible with all Biosec models and most rectangular-tray domestic dehydrators on the market.
Standard dehydrator trays are designed for sliced fruit and herbs, not for 2–4 mm granules like corbicular pollen. The Micro mesh covers the full tray surface and acts as a second floor with the right aperture: airflow passes upward freely, but the product stays exactly where you put it. At the end of the drying cycle, pollen lifts off cleanly with a single pass — no scraping, no losses at the edges, nothing left stuck on the tray.
If you already have a fruit dehydrator in your honey house or at home, these meshes let you dry pollen without buying dedicated equipment. The 228 × 346 mm footprint fits most rectangular trays on the market; for wider trays, two meshes side by side do the job. Stack two meshes on the same tray and you double your drying surface in a single cycle — useful during peak pollen flows when trap collections are outpacing your drying capacity. Not suitable for wet or dripping foods — liquid pools in the mesh and makes cleaning difficult.
Made from food-certified plastic, free of BPA and phthalates. Rated from 0 °C to 100 °C — comfortably above the 35–42 °C range used for pollen drying — and goes in the top rack of the dishwasher. The pack of 6 covers a full 5–6 tray dehydrator with a spare available from day one. Wash before first use.
