Manual Quarti radial extractor for processing up to 18 Dadant shallow super frames without turning them during the cycle.
Its 620 mm diameter drum and nylon radial basket provide an intermediate-capacity unit for beekeepers who want more frames per load without relying on a motor.
01 · RADIAL CAPACITY
18 shallow super frames in one balanced load
The frames are arranged like the spokes of a wheel. This orientation allows centrifugal force to act on both faces of the comb during the same cycle, avoiding the stop needed to turn every frame in a tangential extractor. The advantage depends on a well-balanced load and honey fluid enough to leave the cells.
02 · MANUAL DRIVE
You control acceleration and stopping
The basket is driven by a hand crank and requires no electricity. Start slowly so the weight can settle, then increase speed gradually; a sudden start can deform tender combs or destabilise an uneven load. If vibration develops, stop the extractor and redistribute frames of similar weight in opposing positions before continuing.
03 · BROOD FRAMES
Three Dadant brood frames require three G06 cages
The standard configuration is intended for shallow super frames. To extract 3 Dadant brood frames, 3 stainless-steel G06 tangential cages must be installed, one for each frame; they are sold separately and are not part of this product. The manufacturer does not document a Layens-frame configuration, so compatibility must not be assumed from appearance or drum diameter.
04 · PREPARING THE LOAD
Uncap fully and do not mix frame formats
Work with fully uncapped frames of the same format, distributed symmetrically. Cold or very viscous honey is harder to extract: conditioning the frames to a suitable working temperature beforehand reduces spinning time and stress on the comb. Keep the lid closed during operation and wait for the basket to stop completely before touching it.
05 · BEFORE YOU BUY
Confirm the actual dimensions of your frames
This S06B is manual and its standard capacity is 18 Dadant shallow super frames. It does not include a motor or the G06 cages required for brood frames. If you use another format, Layens frames or need a replacement lid, confirm the exact reference and dimensions before ordering: the 620 mm diameter alone does not guarantee compatibility.
