01 · CONSTRUCTION

1.5 mm 304 stainless, CE marking and two lids

The gauge is the first thing you notice: 1.5 mm of 304 stainless on a 1.45 m drum is what stops the tank flexing and shaking with twenty frames loaded. It carries two hinged lids — one acrylic to watch the cycle, one stainless steel — and CE marking. The gate sits 1 metre off the floor, so a container goes underneath without improvising platforms.

02 · EXTRACTION

Reversible and universal: twenty frames of any format

The cage is reversible and universal: it takes Layens, Langstroth or Dadant, twenty per load, and flips the cassettes to work the second face without you pulling out a single frame. The cassettes have a blind side, a design detail that improves extraction by directing the honey rather than letting it spread between neighbouring baskets. For operations working brood frames — where a radial does not perform — this is the right approach.

03 · CONTROL

Schneider programmer, and it restarts when you close the lid

It carries an electronic Schneider automatic programmer, configurable for time and speed, with up to two reversible cycles running clockwise and anticlockwise automatically. The motor is 2 hp. And one detail you appreciate on a long day: open the lid and the extractor stops, close it and it starts again on its own, carrying on or restarting the cycle — no pressing START at every load.

04 · CONFIGURATION

Base, outlet and fan: chosen when you order

As standard it has an inverted conical base falling towards the lowest central point, where a swivel pipe outlet lets you aim the flow wherever suits you at the time. It can also be built with a standard base. The outlet is chosen between a pump connection valve, a ball valve or a guillotine gate. And as an option it can carry a hot-air fan in the base, which helps with thicker honeys.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

Space first: 1.45 m across plus room to work around it calls for a proper honey house, not a corner of the store. And since much of the machine is decided at order time — base, outlet and fan — it pays to be clear about your room's flow before commissioning it: whether the honey goes to a pump, a tank or a container changes which outlet you want.
