Details of Electric uncapping plane Maxant style

The American-style (MAXANT-type) electric uncapper is made to uncap horizontally: the blade stays fixed and hot, you draw the frame over it. You work with a neutral wrist, without the vertical sawing of a hand knife —a welcome change on long honey-house days.

⚙️ Horizontal: less wrist strain

Unlike a conventional electric knife that forces vertical movements, here the blade is fixed and you slide the frame across it. Less strain on wrist and forearm and a more even cut, ideal for uncapping many frames in a row without ending up sore.

🔪 12.5 cm edge with thermostat

The heated 12.5 cm edge covers a super frame in one pass. The thermostat holds the temperature automatically: short warm-up, clean cut without caramelising, and no need to watch the heat. ON/OFF switch for safe operation. It works at just the right temperature, without overheating wax or honey.
