01 · STANDARD OR RL

One direction of rotation or two, and the reference tells you

The STANDARD version has a single on switch and suits extractors that turn one way only, such as the W2030BB and W224BV models.

The RL version adds two switches to reverse the rotation by hand, with no automation: it is the one for reversible machines, such as W223BBF_RL and W230B_RL. On a reversible, you decide when the direction changes, which is exactly the point of turning combs without taking them out.

02 · THE WHEEL IS THE ARGUMENT

Progressive speed, no steps and no jolts

The central rotary potentiometer takes the speed up and down continuously. It is not a luxury: it is what lets you start slowly, which is how the comb is protected.

With uneven frames or dense honeys, heather or holm oak, you start at minimum until the drum balances and only then go up. A two-position switch does not allow that, and that is where combs break.

03 · WHAT IT IS AND WHAT IT IS NOT

It is the control box, not the motor

It is the control for the 12 V, 150 W motors fitted to LYSON extractors of the BASIC and MINIMA lines, so it serves as a replacement or as a spare to keep during the season. No motor is included: it does not turn a manual extractor into an electric one.

The housing is reinforced technical plastic, with a bracket for mounting on a wall or a base, and it ships with a standard European plug. It stands up to what a honey house throws at it: damp, honey splashes and sticky hands.
