WEIGHT

A roof feeder with two reservoirs of 4 and 3 litres, divided inside and underneath into six parts that do not communicate.

From ANEL. Built for the divided nucleus: each part eats its own without the bees of one crossing into the next.

01 · SIX INDEPENDENT PARTS

Each nucleus eats its own

What sets this feeder apart from any other roof model is the division: it is split inside and underneath into six independent parts. That lets you hold several colonies under one roof and feed them separately, without the bees of one reaching the neighbour's feed or mixing over the top. In a box with two or three nuclei, that separation is the difference between feeding and starting a fight.

02 · SYRUP AND CANDI IN PARALLEL

Holes and caps set the combination

The holes and caps it comes with let you set up whatever combination suits: both reservoirs with syrup, one syrup and one patty, or both solid. It refills from above, without opening the hive, so you neither disturb the bees nor lose heat doing it. And it needs no maintenance: fill, close and forget until the next round.

03 · WHO IT IS FOR

Queen rearing and spring multiplication

Its natural place is queen rearing and making up nuclei in spring, when you have several small units in the same box and none with stores of its own. It also fits any outfit that multiplies: a newly made nucleus will not wait long between visits, and seven litres split across two reservoirs buy you a few days.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

It measures 50.5 × 41.5 × 6 cm and weighs 1.2 kg, so it needs a roof that leaves those 6 cm. Also check how your box is divided underneath: the feeder's separation only works if it lines up with your nucleus partitions. The caps are sold separately and it pays to keep spares. And the usual rule: do not feed during the flow if you intend to harvest that honey for sale.

✓ FITSBoxes with two or three nuclei: each eats its own under one roof.
⚠ CHECK YOUR DIVISIONThe six parts only help if they line up with the box partitions. And it needs 6 cm of roof.
