01 · THE THREE LAYERS

Where the money in this suit goes

The fabric is two layers of ventilated cloth with a thick mesh layer between them. That thickness does the work: it holds the outer surface away from the body, so the sting stops on the way. It is not a single mesh with more air, it is a sandwich with volume of its own.

One practical consequence: you do not need a T-shirt underneath to keep the sting out, which is exactly what you do not want in the heat.

It is certified as category II PPE and tested by an accredited external laboratory. The Breeze range is also made without cadmium, lead, mercury or chromium, and without brominated flame retardants or phthalates.

02 · THE VEIL

Resting on the shoulders, not hanging from the head

This is what sets the suit apart, and it solves the classic problem of rigid veils: the veil rests on the shoulders instead of hanging from the head. It does not slide as you bend, and the rigid veil keeps clear space around the ears and the face — which is where the sting gets through when mesh sits against skin.

In exchange: a rigid screen sees a little less than a fine cloth veil. You gain distance and pay in sharpness.

And one warning worth the whole season: zip everything all the way up. At the join between hood and body the protection runs on the inside, so a half-closed zip leaves a way in at neck height.

The hood folds back at breaks or comes off entirely, and the suit packs away inside its own hat.

03 · THE SIZE

It runs short in length before it runs short in width

Made from S to XXL, and the pattern among those who already wear it is always the same: what falls short is the sleeve and the length, not the chest. Several tall customers have gone up a size for length even though their chest measurement said otherwise.

If you are over 1.80 m, count on going one size above what your chest would tell you. And if you want us to look at it with your measurements, write before ordering.

04 · WHERE A SUIT GIVES OUT

Reinforcements, pockets and washing

It has extra reinforcement at knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, pockets and stomach: the six places a suit opens up first. And pockets everywhere, one reinforced for the hive tool and one for a pen.

And the washing, which is where suits get ruined: by hand is best, and the hat always by hand.
