The jars touch each other

Worth saying plainly, because it is the most asked question: there are no cells inside, no card inserts, no moulded seating. The six jars rest against each other and against the wall of the box. For direct sale, markets, fairs, gifts and delivery by car that is more than enough, because the load sits wedged in the boot and does not roll about. For sending by carrier it will not do: glass breaks at the shoulder, exactly where one jar strikes the next, and there you need double wall with cell dividers or each jar wrapped.

02 · WHICH JAR FITS

Cut to the honeycomb jar, not the plain one

The 1 kg honeycomb jar measures 98.40 mm across by 135 mm tall. Three in a row come to 295.2 mm and two to 196.8: the 295 × 195 mm of the box, matched to the millimetre, and the 140 mm of height leave just the clearance the lid asks for. The plain V720 is another matter: 80.6 mm across and 172 mm tall, so the box neither closes on it nor holds it — it has one of its own. And if you want twelve rather than six, there is the twelve-jar 1 kg box and the twelve-jar half-kilo one.

03 · WHAT IT IS FOR

Eight kilos and the printed side

Full it weighs around 8 kg, counting the 320 g of glass in each jar: you carry it one-handed from the car to the stall, stack it on the counter and empty it without rearranging anything. This is the market and fair box, the six-jar Christmas gift lot, and the box for the customer who takes half a dozen. In the store, the side printing tells it apart at a glance from the twelve-jar boxes, which are the ones that get confused in the stack. It is stored flat, so it takes no room until the day you use it.
