Details of Plastic jar 500g NICOT®

500 g food-grade polypropylene jar for bottling honey straight from the ripener. Clear body, opaque white snap-on lid with a tamper-evident seal: the end customer sees at a glance whether the jar has been opened before reaching them. Cylindrical Ø 88 × 110 mm format that stacks neatly in cold storage or on the display shelf and fits the standard 6 and 12-jar presentation boxes. Made in France, compliant with EU packaging regulations.

🍯 Food-grade polypropylene, BPA and phthalate free

Honey is mildly acidic (pH≈3.9) and sits in the jar for months: the plastic has to be cleared for prolonged food contact, not generic. This jar is PP-5 food-grade polypropylene, compliant with EU directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste, free of BPA and phthalates. Recyclable and reusable, the material does not migrate into the honey or impart any flavour.

📐 370 ml capacity for 500 g of honey

Honey weighs about 1.4 g/ml, so 500 g takes up just over 350 ml. The jar offers 370 ml of usable capacity — exactly the margin you need to fill it from the ripener tap or a bottling line without honey overflowing as you close the lid. The cylindrical shape with a wide opening makes gravity filling and rinsing easy.

🔒 Snap-on lid with tamper-evident seal

The lid does not screw on: it snaps in place and is held down by a tamper-evident ring that breaks off the first time the jar is opened. That gives the end customer visual proof that the jar has not been touched — particularly useful for direct sales, B2B hospitality or export, where traceability matters. Ready to use straight away, no need to wash beforehand.
