Make stimulation syrup without hauling jugs around. Apimix Instant mixes with hot water into an enzymatically inverted syrup, already vitamin-enriched, with no corn-derived sugars. Easy dry storage, less bulk, and you’re not paying to ship water. 10 kg bag.
When February hits and you start counting the weeks to the first bloom, you know your margin is getting tight. If you want to enter the main flow with colonies already “in gear”, well-planned stimulation is what separates a strong spring from always playing catch-up. The headache, especially with a lot of hives, isn’t just feeding. It’s logistics: heavy jugs, space in the honey house, expiry dates creeping up, and the extra hassle of buying vitamins separately if you want homemade syrup to be more than sugar water.
Apimix Instant goes straight to the point. It’s a powder you reconstitute with hot water to get an enzymatically inverted syrup, already enriched with vitamins for stimulation. No corn-derived sugars, and nothing else to add. You store the bag dry, it takes less space than liquid, keeps better, and most importantly, you’re not paying to ship water or packaging. On 200 or 300 hives, that’s real money.
The key is that the final syrup is already inverted, with glucose and fructose ready to be absorbed, without bees having to “work” sucrose with their own enzymes. And because the inversion is enzymatic and industrially controlled, you avoid acid hacks and home processes where overheating is easy. One important point: dry powder doesn’t generate HMF on its own; the risk only appears if you exceed temperature and time during preparation, which you avoid simply by following the process.
Preparation (simple in the workshop)
• Heat water to 60-70 ºC, add the powder and dissolve well.
• Keep 60-70 ºC and stir every 5 minutes. Around 30 minutes gives a partially inverted syrup, up to 2 hours for full inversion, depending on what you want.
• Finish by raising to 90-100 ºC for 1 minute while stirring, then let it cool. A thermometer plus regular mixing gives you a consistent, repeatable syrup every time.
How to use it for stimulation
The goal isn’t feeding for the sake of feeding. It’s to simulate a nectar flow and trigger brood rearing. Many operations run about 1.5 kg of syrup per hive per week for 3-4 weeks, starting 4-6 weeks before the target bloom. Keep the feed in the warm zone, close to the brood, so it’s taken quickly. If pollen is scarce, pair it with a protein patty: without protein you can push carbs, but you won’t build population as efficiently.
Composition of reconstituted Apimix Instant
The syrup provides 33-50% glucose and 33-50% fructose on a dry matter basis, with 5-33% sucrose depending on the inversion level achieved. Vitamins: B1 (2.4 mg/kg), B2 (4.5 mg/kg), B3 (51 mg/kg), B5 (3.6 mg/kg), B6 (2.2 mg/kg), C (65 mg/kg), and A (4.5 mg/kg), a complete profile to support a steady, consistent start to the season.
Format and storage
10 kg bag. Store in a cool, dry place. Once reconstituted, use within the following days like any fresh syrup, and avoid storing it for weeks.
