01 · REFILL WITHOUT DISMOUNTING

Less dead time and fewer hot parts in your hand

The saving is not only in minutes. Every removal means handling a part that has just been working hot, and over a day of sixty or eighty hives that is sixty or eighty handlings you no longer do.

It is a change of workflow, not an improvement in how the treatment performs: it sublimates exactly the same as the original pan. What changes is how often you have to stop.

02 · PTFE HOLDS, BUT NOT WHEN DRY

There is plenty of margin if you never heat it empty

Oxalic acid sublimates at around 157 °C and PTFE works continuously up to some 260 °C: between those two figures there is margin for the whole working cycle.

That margin disappears if the device is left heating empty. With nothing to sublimate, the temperature climbs unchecked to wherever the element takes it, and that is where PTFE degrades. The rule is simple: pan loaded before you switch on, and unplugged between hives if the wait drags.

03 · THE VAPOUR IS NOT FOR BREATHING

The pan changes the workflow, not the precautions

Working with the device assembled all day means spending more time close to the entrance. Oxalic vapour irritates the airways and the eyes, so respiratory and eye protection is part of the kit, not an extra: a suitable mask, goggles and gloves, and always stand with your back to the wind.

The dose and the timing of the treatment are set by the leaflet of the authorised product you are using. The PROVAP dispenser has fixed positions so you can measure comfortably, but what decides how much goes in is the medicine's own datasheet, not the device.
