01 · FOR THE BASIC RANGE ONLY

Three models, by name

It is declared for the W2013KN_B (4-frame reversible), W210KN_B (6-frame reversible) and W219_B (42-frame radial) extractors. All three are in the catalogue and all three are BASIC.

The shop's other replacement motor is the Minima one, and it is 18 V and 80 W: neither the same voltage nor the same power. Mixing them up is the expensive mistake on this reference.

02 · BEFORE THE MOTOR, THE BELT

An extractor losing power is not always the motor

When the drum starts slowly or stalls under load, the usual suspect is not the motor but the belt, which slips once it has stretched. A replacement belt costs a fraction of this motor.

The maker says as much: before fitting, check belt, controller and connections. If that was the problem, the new motor will do exactly what the old one did.

03 · 12 V AND 16 A: CHECK THE SUPPLY

A hundred and fifty watts out, nearly two hundred in

The 150 W is shaft power. At the terminals it draws 16 A at 12 V, that is close to 200 W. That is the figure to size a power supply or a battery by, not the one on the label.

A 150 W supply chosen from the motor's rating falls short and trips on current at the worst moment, which is a full drum starting up.

04 · IT ARRIVES WITH THE PULLEY ON

Straight onto the original transmission

It comes with the HTD 3M z=16 toothed pulley already fitted, ready for the factory transmission. No stripping the old motor and no hunting for the tooth pitch.

It is a brushed DC motor: 3,400 rpm nominal, with the transmission bringing that down to drum speed.
