Children's beekeeping gloves with leather hands and long canvas gauntlets, designed for accompanied visits to the apiary. Leather provides a more substantial barrier than a thin glove and the gauntlet covers the forearm, but choosing a size that allows the child to close the hand and hold a frame without excessive looseness is essential.
The leather hand protects against contact with wood, propolis and bees during a calm inspection. The sewn-on canvas gauntlet extends the coverage and has an elasticated end that sits over the suit sleeve, reducing gaps at the wrist.

Age is only a size guide, not a hand measurement. Check that the fingertips reach the ends without being compressed and that the glove does not twist when holding a tool.
No glove makes a sting impossible or compensates for an agitated colony or an improperly closed suit. Use with the rest of the protective equipment and under adult supervision. After the visit, remove propolis while dry and air the leather in the shade; do not store it damp.
