Replacement knob with a stainless M6 screw for the lid of SAF NATURA ripeners.

The real compatibility is the M6, not the brand. It is the knob fitted to SAF NATURA ripeners, but it goes on any lid with a hole for M6 fixings: tanks, extractors or lids made at home. If the hole is M6, it fits.

01 · WHY THIS KNOB BREAKS

Heat, steam and sticky hands, all day long

The knob on a ripener lid works in the worst spot of the honey room: it takes the heat of honey being liquefied out of a crystallisation, the steam of hot-water washing and the pull of hands covered in honey.

With that combination it ends up cracking or turning without gripping, and almost always on the day the honey is ready to bottle. For a few euros it is worth having a spare in the drawer before it happens.

02 · WHAT COMES AND HOW IT FITS

Technical plastic and a stainless screw, in a minute

The knob is heat and moisture resistant technical plastic, and it comes with its stainless steel M6 fixing screw, which is the part that really makes the difference: an ordinary steel screw rusts with frequent washing and ends up seized in the lid.

Changing it takes seconds: the old one out, the new one in, and back to work. There is no need to take the lid or the ripener apart.
