01 · WHICH WAY THE FORCE PUSHES

Along the comb, or through its face

In a radial extractor the frames sit like the spokes of a wheel and the force pushes the honey along the comb. It is gentle, empties both faces at once and works perfectly with fluid honey.

With the cage in, the frame stands sideways and the force pushes through the face, driving the honey straight out of the cell mouth. That is why it clears dense honey, honey starting to granulate and unevenly capped frames that a radial leaves half full.

02 · HOW TO SPIN IT

Gently first, then the other side

Tangential imposes an order: one face gently, turn, the second one fully, then turn again to finish the first.

It is not fussiness: with the opposite face still full, the weight of that honey pulls on the comb and at speed it blows the wax out. Starting slowly on the first pass is what saves the frame.

03 · WHEN IT PAYS

One extractor doing two jobs

It pays when the honey will not flow — heather, autumn honeys, anything starting to granulate — or when the frames come in uneven.

And above all for what it saves: the capacity of a radial with the working method of a tangential, without buying two machines. Built in metal rod suitable for food contact.
