Convert your radial extractor into a tangential one for gentler extraction of dense or crystallized honey.
In a radial extractor, frames are arranged in a circular pattern with the top bars facing outward. This allows both sides of the comb to be extracted simultaneously through centrifugal force. However, in practice, not all honey flows easily. Dense or partially crystallized honey—or poorly balanced frames—can make extraction inefficient or even damage the comb.
This is where this mesh comes in: it converts your Ø900 mm radial extractor into a tangential one. You place each frame sideways, exposing only one face at a time. Spin one side, then flip the frame and spin the other—just like in a traditional tangential extractor.
Key benefits:
• Compatible with radial extractors with Ø900 mm drum.
• Enables tangential-style extraction for gentler honey removal.
• Ideal for viscous or crystallized honey, or irregularly capped frames.
• Made of strong food-grade steel rod.
• Quick and tool-free installation.
Recommended for: Beekeepers who need a more delicate extraction method. This mesh gives you the versatility of a radial extractor with the control of tangential spinning—without needing a second machine.
