Details of Candle mould - Cube with honeycomb and bee

Silicone mould for making a cubic beeswax candle with a raised honeycomb pattern and a bee as the central motif: a compact piece that shows its beekeeping origin at first glance.

The finished candle measures approximately 6 × 5.5 cm and uses around 135 g of wax, although actual consumption varies with the fill level and raw material.

01 · BEEKEEPING DESIGN

A small cube with relief on every visible face

The combination of cells and a bee turns a simple candle into a recognisable object for direct sales, gifts or hive-product sets. The cubic shape has presence without requiring a large amount of wax, while the silicone reproduces the relief detail when the wax is clean and properly settled.

02 · POURING AND DEMOULDING

Fluid wax, a centred wick and unhurried cooling

Melt the wax in a bain-marie and use only enough heat to keep it fluid, with no direct flame. Position and centre the wick before pouring; a slow pour helps fill the pattern and reduces trapped air. Allow the piece to cool completely before gently flexing the mould to remove it.

The appearance and 135 g figure are indicative: wax type, shrinkage, pouring temperature and fill level all affect the final weight and finish. Make one test candle before producing a batch.

03 · WICK SELECTION

Mould size does not replace a burn test

The wick is not included, and its size must suit the wax, the candle’s effective diameter and the behaviour of the flame. Centre the wick carefully, trim it before lighting and validate the combination with a complete burn test on a stable, heat-resistant surface. This lets you correct tunnelling, an excessive flame or smoke before selling the batch.

04 · MOULD CARE

Gentle cleaning preserves the pattern

Remove wax residue once cold, without blades or tools that could mark the silicone. Store the mould clean, dry and without any weight on top to prevent deformation. Before pouring again, check that no particles remain in the cells and that there is no moisture inside.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

You receive the mould; prepare the wax and wick separately

The product contains 1 silicone mould. Wax, wick, wick holder, melting vessel and supports are not included. The dimensions and wax consumption refer to the finished candle, not the outside dimensions of the mould. If you intend to sell the candles, test and document your specific wax-and-wick combination first.
