Ultra Bee: prepared patties or powder for mixing

Ultra Bee Patties declare 15% crude protein and are ready to place in the hive. Ultra Bee Dry is a powder for preparing feed or feeding dry as directed on its label. The sack supplied here is 18.14 kg; do not confuse it with other US pack sizes.

The Dry PRO Feeder offers powder to several colonies at an external feeding point. This needs flying activity and protection from moisture; it does not ensure that each colony collects the same amount. Patties instead allow feed to be supplied inside individual hives.

Pro-Feeder: access through the ladders

The 3.8 litre Pro-Feeder fits inside a Langstroth brood box and uses a cover-and-ladder system for access to syrup. It is not used as a completely open container. Check the space it occupies alongside your frames and spacers before closing the hive.

JZBZ: queen introduction, rearing and transport

A JZBZ cage holds a queen during transport or introduction; a cell cup receives a grafted larva to start a queen cell. Cage bars and Candy Caps complete the system. A bar with multiple positions does not include the cages for each position.

The cage helps control the queen’s release, but acceptance also depends on the recipient colony and the introduction method.
