Details of Stainless steel Honey Tasting Spoon

Stainless-steel honey tasting spoon with a curved profile and grooved tasting end for taking a small sample, observing how the honey falls and presenting it cleanly during tastings or demonstrations.

Its published length is approximately 16 cm. The S-shaped profile makes it easy to hold and rest on the rim of many jars between uses, keeping the tasting end off the table.

01 · TASTINGS AND SAMPLES

A small portion for assessing aroma, texture and finish

Dip the grooved end into the honey, lift a moderate amount and let the excess drain back into the jar. The channels hold a thin film that is sufficient for observing fluidity and carrying a controlled sample to the tasting, without using a large serving spoon.

02 · CURVED PROFILE

A distinct grip and a resting point on the vessel

The two ends have clearly different functions: the grooved section takes the honey, while the spherical tip identifies the holding end. The central curve allows the utensil to rest on the rim of many jars. The fit depends on the thickness and shape of each opening, so it is not presented as a universal jar support.

03 · ONE HONEY AT A TIME

Avoid carrying aromas and batches between samples

When comparing honeys, use a clean spoon for each sample or wash and dry the utensil completely before moving to the next jar. This reduces the transfer of aromas, crystals and residues from another batch. During a shared tasting, never return a spoon to the container after it has touched the mouth.

04 · CLEANING AND STORAGE

Rinse the grooves thoroughly before putting it away

Wash with water and a detergent intended for food utensils, paying particular attention to the channels in the tasting end. Rinse until all residues are gone and dry completely. Avoid abrasive scourers that could scratch the finish, and check that no hardened honey remains before the next session.

The shape is intended for taking and presenting small samples. It does not measure a standardised quantity and does not replace laboratory equipment. One spoon is supplied. The jar, honey and any serving containers used during a tasting are not included.
