Details of Fritz© 32F Super/16F Deep Swing Cage Extractor

Automatic reversible extractor for 16 frames, a Ø 125 cm drum and a 1,500 W motor underneath.

Reversible means nothing gets turned by hand. In a tangential, sixteen frames are sixteen extractions and sixteen turns done by arm. Here the cages flip on their own halfway through the cycle, and that is the difference between an afternoon and a morning.

01 · REVERSIBLE: NO TURNING BY HAND

Sixteen frames, one single cycle

It takes 16 brood frames, Dadant or Langstroth, or 32 shallow ones. Speed control is fully automatic and lives in its wall bracket, so the cycle is set and left to run.

The hinged transparent lid carries a safety lock: with a 125 cm drum spinning loaded, that is the part that prevents the serious accident. It is not an extra, it is what separates a workshop machine from a working-floor one.

02 · THE CAGE IS 34 × 45 CM

The measurement to check any frame against

The maker declares Dadant and Langstroth, the formats it covers as standard. But the genuinely useful figure is the opening: 34 × 45 cm per cage.

With that number, any frame gets checked before buying instead of after. If your apiary's format is not one of the two declared, measure it against those 34 × 45 and ask us before deciding.

03 · 117 CM TO LOAD, 38 TO EMPTY

Two heights that decide the daily work

Loading height is 117 cm: every full frame has to go up there, sixteen times a batch. With the machine standing 131 cm tall overall, it is worth thinking about how the frames arrive from the uncapping bench.

And at the bottom, the tap sits 38 cm above the floor. That decides what fits underneath: a bucket easily, a 200 litre drum not at all. If the honey goes into drums, plan for a pump or a pit.

04 · THE MOTOR SITS UNDERNEATH

And that changes the maintenance

The 1,500 W motor at 230 V is in the lower part. With it down there, above the drum there is no gearbox and no shafts, so nothing can drip onto the honey and the inside cleans without obstacles.

The floor is welded seamless and sloped towards the outlet, and the outlet pipe is welded flush at the lower level, with a DN 50 dairy thread and a 2 inch tap. That thread is the DIN 11851 standard of the rest of the sanitary line; it does not connect to Clamp without an adapter.

05 · BEFORE YOU BUY

A working-floor machine: measure the opening and the height before the price.

✓ FITS16 frames Dadant or Langstroth brood, or 32 shallow, in 34 × 45 cm cages.
⚠ 117 CM OF LOADING HEIGHTEvery frame goes up there. Worth solving beforehand how they arrive from the uncapping.
✕ NO DRUM FITS UNDERNEATHThe tap is 38 cm above the floor: a bucket goes in, a 200 litre drum does not.
