Where you can tell it was designed by someone who has done the work

Carl Fritz quality is not in the brochure, it is in small decisions that only make sense if you have done the job. Four examples from their own catalogue:

• The universal uncapper adjusts cutting depth from 22 to 45 mm and ships set at 24 mm. Comb is not always the same thickness, and a machine that will not adjust either leaves cappings on or eats wax.
• The creamers use screw paddles that move honey bottom to top. Practical result: they work part-filled, so you do not have to gather 100 kg before you can cream.
• In the wax melter the steam is generated in a separate 19-litre water tank below, not in the melting vessel. Wax never touches the element. And the bottom is welded with no gap — exactly where dirt collects in cheap tanks.
• The extractors have a lid safety interlock, automatic speed control and a sloped tank bottom. The interlock sounds like paperwork until 1,500 W is spinning at your height.

Which machine, depending on where your bottleneck is

If extracting is the brake: the reversible 12 frame (€8,636) or 16 frame (€9,255), both Ø125 cm with the motor underneath, taking Langstroth, Dadant or Layens brood frames and double that in shallows. If uncapping is: the vertical universal (€3,876) does around 200 frames an hour, both sides at once. If cappings pile up: the centrifuge (€5,007) separates about 300 kg/h with no filters. And for crystallised honey, the creamers at 50 kg (€1,153), 100 kg (€1,793) or the heated 300 kg homogeniser (€3,586).

Before ordering: measure the frame, not the number

"12 frames" means 12 brood frames or 24 shallows, and the 36 × 46 cm cages take Langstroth, Dadant and Layens. Tell us which frame you run and how many go through in a day before the diameter is fixed.

What we add
