01 · IT CANNOT STAND ON THE FLOOR

And the stand is not included

That is the first thing to know, because it is not an assembly option: because of the shape of the lower part, this maturer does not rest on the floor. It has to sit on a stand, and that stand is bought separately.

Worth settling in the same order. Tell us where you plan to install it and we will tell you which stand it takes and what height it will leave the tap at — which is what decides whether a bucket, a drum or a bottler fits underneath.

02 · 800 KG IS ABOUT 570 LITRES

And in the ZERO it fills almost to the rim

Honey weighs around 1.4 kg per litre, so 800 kg of capacity is about 570 litres. At Ø 850 mm and 1,030 mm tall, the cylinder gives exactly that: a tank used in full, not an oversized one.

In working units: one load is two and a half 300 kg drums, or around 1,600 half-kilo jars. For an operation that settles in batches, that is the deciding unit.

03 · A Ø50 TAP: THAT IS DN50

One size above the usual maturer

It carries a Ø 50 stainless tap, that is DN50. Our smaller maturers usually run DN40, the inch and a half, so hoses and fittings are not interchangeable between them without a reducer.

In exchange, that size is the same as the large pumps and extractors: if your honey-house line is already built in DN50, this maturer goes straight on.

04 · STAINLESS THROUGHOUT

Italian build by LEGA

It is built entirely in stainless steel by the Italian firm LEGA. On a tank that will spend years in contact with honey — which is acidic — and be cleaned with hot water, the material is not a finish detail: it is the service life.

External dimensions are Ø 850 mm by 1,030 mm tall, excluding the stand. Add the stand's height to that for the final working height.
