01 · THE HONEY

Orange blossom: pale, floral and slow to crystallise

Orange blossom honey is one of the pale ones, very light amber, with an intense, recognisable floral aroma and a touch of acidity at the end; it crystallises slowly and in fine crystal, so in the jar it stays liquid and clear for months, which is how it looks best in glass. The floral origin and the area are on the label: monofloral orange blossom, Valencia Region. It is honey, not a remedy: it sells on taste.

02 · THE FORMAT

34 jars of 50 g in their tray

Each jar is glass with a metal screw lid and label, and the 34 come set in a cardboard tray that goes as it is on the buffet or is handed out one by one: 1.7 kg of honey in all and about 3 kg of parcel. The 50 g are one breakfast serving, for yoghurt, toast or tea, and the empty jar goes on being useful. For weddings, communions and christenings it can be labelled with name and date: ask us about quantities and lead time.

03 · HOW TO KEEP IT

Cool, dry and out of the sun; if it crystallises, it is not a fault

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct light, which is what dulls the aroma over time; the label carries its best-before date. If over the months the honey starts to crystallise, that is normal in any honey and not a fault: a very gentle water bath, not above 40 °C, returns it to liquid without touching the aroma.

04 · WHAT IT GOES WITH

The same tray in rosemary

The sister tray carries rosemary honey (2913), paler and milder: on a buffet the two together give a choice, and as a wedding favour they allow two labels. Orange blossom goes well with fresh cheese, plain yoghurt and breakfast pastries.

The tray is supplied with its 34 labelled jars; custom labelling and the honey dipper come separately.
