Manual tangential 3 universal-frame honey extractor (Layens, Langstroth, Dadant) with 100 kg integrated ripener underneath — honey drops from the conical bottom into the ripener, no transfers. Food-grade stainless steel, steel helical gear, drain gate. Ø 520 mm. The versatile 2-in-1 setup for beekeepers running multiple frame formats.
The versatile model of the line: manual tangential 3-frame extractor with a 100 kg ripener integrated underneath — takes Layens, Langstroth and Dadant frames in the same basket, no cages or adapters to swap. For the beekeeper running more than one frame format —or who has not closed that decision yet— or who spins honey from apiaries with different hive formats. One unit for everything: the upper body spins and filters, the lower ripener collects and settles the honey until bottling, no pails in between.
The tangential basket takes 3 universal frames and that is the difference with the plain REGATA or the RACING: it accepts Layens, Langstroth and Dadant brood in the same extraction, with each frame resting against the mesh. One extractor for the full annual cycle in mixed apiaries, or for the beekeeper who spins honey for neighbours with different formats.
The upper body is the tangential extractor; the lower body is a 100 kg ripener with a filter at the outlet and a drain gate. The two modules hook together and unhook for cleaning or storage. The drum bottom is conical: spun honey pools at the tip, passes through the filter and drops straight into the ripener. You save the bucket transfers, the external filter and the floor space of a stand-alone ripener.
The crank drives the tangential basket through a steel helical gear — no belt, no friction drive — with smooth start-up and no jumps. Use progressive speeds to protect the comb: with thin honeys (mixed spring, sunflower, orange blossom) you can go to medium-high; with dense honeys (heather, chestnut, ripe eucalyptus) start slow, ramp up. Tangential means one face at a time with the frame fully supported — a gentler treatment than small radials working unsupported frames.
Drum, basket, conical bottom, ripener and contact hardware in food-grade stainless steel — it shrugs off organic acids, propolis and CIP cycles without corrosion. 520 mm diameter, 420 mm height: compact for a small honey house, stores away in any corner. The lower ripener has its own drain gate for direct bottling.
The ESPACE/REGATA makes sense if (1) you run more than one frame format or extract for third parties, (2) you are at 10-15 hives and the crank still feels fine, and (3) you want one single unit for extraction and maturation. If you do not need the integrated ripener, the plain REGATA (ref. 050113) saves the lower module. If you know your format is Langstroth and prefer 4 frames at a time, the ESPACE/RACING (ref. 147/B) gives more throughput in that format. Past 20-30 hives and the crank starts to tell, move to an electric like the BHE3-4D Legroc.
