Details of Conveyor belt with PLC control

Swienty 110 cm conveyor belt with PLC control: the photocell stops the jar under the filler and releases it when filling ends.

What you buy is not the belt: it is the timing. A belt that only moves forward is no use on a filling line, because the jar has to be still while it fills. Here a photocell detects the container, the belt stops, the filler doses and, on the end-of-fill signal, the belt runs on to the next one.

01 · THE PHOTOCELL IS THE TIMING

And that is why it carries a PLC and not just a motor

The cycle is run by a PLC, not a timer: the belt does not advance «every so many seconds», it advances when the filler says it has finished. That is what lets you change jar format without timing anything again.

The 6 m/min speed is not a production figure either. With 110 cm of belt, a jar crosses the run in about eleven seconds; what sets the line's real pace is the filler, not this.

02 · Ø120 × 170: THE LINE'S CEILING

And it is worth checking before choosing the jar

It takes containers from Ø 30 × 30 mm minimum to Ø 120 × 170 mm maximum. That is exactly the range the filling station and the outfeed collector declare, so those 170 mm of height are the real limit of the whole line, even if some machine on its own takes more.

In practice it covers the usual glass range comfortably: half-kilo, one kilo, hexagonal, tall-mouth. If you work a tall, narrow format, measure it first: diameter is rarely the problem, height is.

03 · 110 CM AND 100 WATTS

A short run that installs wherever it is needed

It is 110 cm of belt and 35 kg, on 230 V with 100 W of consumption. This is not a transport line: it is the run that positions the jar and hands it to the next step.

So it combines rather than replaces: it normally sits after the rotary table and before the filler, and from there come the labeller, the capper and the collector. Tell us which machines you already have and we will tell you which run you are missing.

04 · BEFORE YOU BUY

It is a run of line, not a line.

✓ A GOOD FITSynchronising the jar with the filler: PLC and photocell, jars from Ø 30 to Ø 120 mm.
⚠ IT IS NOT A TRANSPORT BELTIt is 110 cm that position the container. For long runs, sections are chained.
✕ NOTHING OVER 170 MMThat is the jar-height ceiling of the whole line, not just of the belt.
