01 · WHAT CORK DOES AND DOES NOT DO

Passive insulator, not a flask or a fridge

Worth understanding before buying, because almost every disappointment with any insulator starts here: cork does not hold a temperature, it slows the change. What it does is stretch the time the vial takes to warm up once out of the cold — the trip from the chiller to the counter, from the counter to the customer — and shield it from light, which is the other enemy. It does not replace the cold chain: fresh royal jelly is kept cold, and this case does not change that. What it buys you is the journey, not the storage.

02 · IT IS MADE FOR ONE VIAL

The 30 ml amber glass one, and only that

It is not a generic case: it is dimensioned so that the 30 ml amber glass vial fits snugly and stays put, which is what makes it work as a retail case and why people who pack royal jelly use it season after season. The vial is sold separately. External dimensions are 90 × 55 mm; if you need the internal ones — to know whether another container fits — write to us and we will confirm them with the case in hand, which is more reliable than a catalogue figure. And if your container is noticeably bigger, the short answer is no: this case is the size it is.

03 · BEFORE YOU BUY

It is sold empty and singly: the jelly vial is not included. It is for presenting and transporting, not for producing or incubating anything — we have been asked about using it to ferment yoghurt at 40-43 °C for eight hours, and that is neither its function nor its size. Being cork it is light and adds almost nothing to the shipping weight, but it is also a soft material: a hard knock marks it, and it is not meant to travel loose inside a large parcel.
