1 kg PROFESSIONAL FORMAT | 1.8-2.2 % 10-HDA BY BATCH |
Fresh royal jelly — not freeze-dried — in a 1 kg tub, cold-chained from end to end. The format for repackers, queen rearers and anyone buying a whole year at once.
It leaves the store refrigerated and in an insulated box, and that is how it should reach your fridge.
01 · FRESH, NOT FREEZE-DRIED
Freeze-drying is convenient: it removes the water, the cold chain and the transport problem. But part of what defines royal jelly is heat-labile — 10-HDA, the MRJP proteins and vitamin B5 are sensitive to heat and to prolonged dehydration. Fresh jelly keeps the full profile in exchange for demanding a cold chain from end to end. Put another way: if you are already investing in royal jelly, there is little sense in paying for what makes it royal jelly and then taking it out.
02 · 10-HDA
10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid is a fatty acid that occurs only in royal jelly: hence its use as the marker that tells the genuine product from mixtures with honey, sugar or water, and as an indicator of good storage. The market reference is the 1.4 % set as a minimum by ISO 12824:2016. We pack to a guaranteed minimum of 1.8 %, and the actual value of each batch runs between 1.8 % and 2.2 % — the exact figure comes with the batch analysis.
03 · THE 1 KG TUB
Repackers: a tub yields about 50 doses of 20 g or 100 of 10 g, with room for losses. Queen rearers: jelly is the natural feed of the grafted larva, so the tub is restocked before the rearing season starts. Household use: 1 kg covers a year of 1 g a day. The container is opaque — light is the other enemy besides heat — and wide-mouthed, so you can take a dose with a spatula without spilling or warming the rest with your hands.
STORAGE — READ BEFORE USE
On arrival, straight into the fridge (2-8 °C), where it keeps for up to 18 months. Do not freeze it: freezing breaks the structure of the MRJP proteins and thawing does not bring it back. Out of the fridge, 24 h maximum. Take out only the dose you will use and close the tub again.
04 · BEFORE YOU BUY
It ships Monday to Wednesday, in a polystyrene box with gel packs sized to keep the tub below 12 °C for 24-36 h. Orders placed on Thursday, Friday or at the weekend go out the following Monday: that is how no tub spends Saturday and Sunday in an unrefrigerated depot.
| ✓ FITS | Repacking into small jars, queen rearing, and a household year's supply. |
| ✕ IT IS NOT | A pantry product: without a fridge it does not keep. |
